A non-asbestos joint material made of aramid and glass fibres with a nitrile binder, Klingersil washers demonstrate a high level of strength, ensuring they’re not crushed or deformed under pressure.

This reduces the amount of creep and ensures a long term quality seal is achieved.

Found in numerous appliances including boilers, gas pipes, water pipes, oil sumps, fires, cookers and heat exchangers, our Klingersil washers can be supplied in two ways:

From our collection of over 2,000 cutting tools accumulated over many decades of trading, we’ll always endeavour to find a size that fits. However, if we can’t, we offer affordable, bespoke tooling, to any given size with exceptionally tight tolerances, all in accordance with our very high quality standards.

Our range of Klingersil washers are most often cut from three different grades of material, depending on the requirements of sealing. We also have the facility to apply a self-adhesive backing to any Klingersil washer product we manufacture. Furthermore, most base materials are held in stock, enabling us to turn around Klingersil products incredibly quickly.

Over the past few years, RH Nuttall has invested heavily in new, state-of-the-art automated machinery, which allows our Birmingham team to product a Klingersil washer range for a vast number of differing industries that include construction, home appliances, architectural and automotive trades.

Klingersil c4324 washers

A general purpose material from which we cut the majority of our washers. Green on one side and black on the other, c4324 washers offer solutions for low steam pressure applications. With a continuous sealing temperature of 180 degrees, and topping out at a maximum intermittent temperature of 350 degrees, Klingersil c4324 washers work in a variety of different industrial applications, from boilers and radiators to car engines.

Furthermore, c4324 washers are an excellent choice when sealing gas, because they display very low levels of leakage. Our range of Klingersil c4324 washers can be made with an outside diameter as small as 5mm, and range right up to washers with diameters of 1000mm for larger applications. Our range of Klingersil washers can also be made to British Standard Pipe industry requirements, including 3/8” bsp, ½” bsp, ¾” bsp and 1”bsp sizes.

Current thicknesses we manufacture our Klingersil c4324 washers from include 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.4mm and 3mm.

Klingersil c4324 washers come with full WRAS approval making them equally suitable for water applications.

Klingersil c4400 washers

A high quality material from which we manufacture a large volume of our washers. Green on both sides, c4400 washers offer solutions for fuel, water, steam and hydrocarbon sealing. Klingersil c4400 washers also provide a superb seal against 100 bar pressure applications.

Where high temperature sealing is required, c4400 washers offer continuous sealing up to 200 degrees and intermittent sealing peeking at a maximum of 400 degrees. Klingersil washers are often used in a combination of oil and pressure sealing appliances. Our range of Klingersil c4400 washers can be made with an outside diameter as small as 5mm and right up 1000mm for larger applications.

Our Klingersil washers can also be made to British Standard Pipe industry standards including, 3/8” bsp, ½” bsp, ¾” bsp and 1”bsp sizes.

Klingersil c4430 washers

A premium grade of Klingersil from which we manufacture large volumes of washers. Green on one side and white on the reverse, Klingersil c4430 is an excellent choice of base material for washers when applications require high temperature sealing in conjunction with pressure and steam sealing. Suitable for continuous use in up to 200 degree heat, and intermittent use in 400 degrees, Klingersil c4430 washers are fully WRAS approved and can take up to 100 bar pressure when sealing. This makes them perfect for hot and cold water applications.

Our range of Klingersil c4430 washers can be made with an outside diameter as small as 5mm, and range right up to washers with diameters of 1000mm for larger applications. Our range of Klingersil washers can also be made to British Standard Pipe industry standards including, 3/8” bsp, ½” bsp, ¾” bsp and 1”bsp sizes.
