Silicone sponge comes in a variety of colours including the more common white, grey and black, to a more bespoke red colour.

Applications for silicone sponge strip

Silicone sponge strips are used where high temperature sealing is required. General grades of other non silicone based cellular sponges only take a limited degree of heat exposure before failing, however with our grades of silicone sponge this can be rectified with certain grades peaking at 230 degrees centigrade.

Common applications where our silicone sponge strips get used include oven door seals, lighting seals, hob seals, fire seals, and the London underground.

Expanded silicone sponge strips are robust in nature, but do offer compression unlike the solid variant of the base material. This gives added value where uneven mating surfaces need to be sealed.

Various densities of our silicone seals can be manufactured too accommodating every application.

Thicknesses of silicone sponge strips can be manufactured from 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, up to 12mm in thickness. Standard thicknesses of base material are stock items and strips can be produced within 24/48 hours.
