With relatively inexpensive wood base tooling our EPDM gaskets can be manufactured at relatively low cost. Standard EPDM sheet thicknesses range from 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, and 10mm right up to 12mm. Most of these thicknesses are held in stock meaning fast turn around times are obtained.
Key characteristics of our EPDM gasket range include excellent resistance to fresh and sea water, oxidation, ultra violet, ozone, aging and weathering. Furthermore, EPDM gaskets also have good temperature resistance, abrasion resistance and resistance to animal and vegetable oils. Moreover, EPDM gaskets produced by our Company also have a good resistance to acids, water based chemicals, and steam. The material can be supplied fully to the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS). The WRAS material we supply our parts from can cover both hot and cold water applications depending on the function.
EPDM gaskets are not suitable for applications requiring resistance to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, lubricating oils and petrol. Please feel free to contact us for more advice on specific grades of rubber to suit your application.
