At RH Nuttall, we specialize in manufacturing high volumes of stripped parts, which are lengths of base material cut to precise widths and lengths. These strips are widely used across industries such as glazing, agriculture, and construction.
To meet diverse production needs, we operate three types of guillotine machines: manual, semi-electric, and fully automated.
Our manual guillotine is hand-operated, allowing for custom strip widths from 75mm to 300mm and lengths from 10mm to 750mm. Base materials are positioned against the stop bar, and a manual cutting blade is used to produce each strip with precision.
For longer strips, we utilize an electric foot-pedal guillotine, capable of cutting strips up to 2,440mm long and 300mm wide. The operator feeds master sheets into the guillotine, presses the pedal once the material aligns with the stop, and repeats the process to fulfill the required quantity.
For high-volume production, our automatic guillotines handle smaller strips or pads with exceptional speed. These machines can process strips as small as 10mm x 10mm up to 300mm wide, with production runs ranging from 10,000 to over 1,000,000 parts in industry-leading lead times.
One key advantage of guillotine cutting is that no tooling is required, making the process highly cost-effective.
Common products we manufacture in-house include glazing packers, thermal break pads, snowplow blades, and insulation strips. We also maintain a full inventory of base materials in various thicknesses, including neoprene rubber, vulcanized fiber, neoprene pads, nylon strip, and EPDM rubber pads.
