RH Nuttall manufacture a wide range of EPDM strip. EPDM is an acronym for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer and is a supplied in a closed cell structure to seal against both air and water seepage. Our EPDM strips, often referred to as EPDM tape or EPDM glazing tape can be supplied in any volume with small orders welcomed in addition to much larger volumes.

A self-adhesive backing can be applied to most of our EPDM sponge strips to aid in third hand fixing. Over the past few years RH Nuttall has invested heavily in new state of the art slitting equipment allowing us to produce EPDM sponge strips for a vast range of different industries, including construction, automotive, glazing and electronics.

Thicknesses of EPDM strip/EPDM tape

At RH Nuttall we manufacture all of our EPDM strips in house on a whole host of slitting machines. Closed cell EPDM sponge strips are manufactured within industry leading lead times. Most common thicknesses of base material that are held in stock can be slit, coiled and dispatched within 24/48 hours.

Common thicknesses of EPDM sponge sheeting that we hold in stock include 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm and 30mm. Any of the aforementioned thicknesses of EPDM foam can be manufactured into any given EPDM sponge strip.

Furthermore a self-adhesive backing can be applied to the majority of our EPDM strips allowing them to be used as foam tape around car and window seals. The tape we apply is a high tack adhesive meaning that glue and pasting equipment is no longer needed within the assembly.

Benefits of EPDM Strip/EPDM Tape

EPDM foam has excellent physical properties including being air tight and water tight, and therefore it is generally used within the automotive, electronics and construction trades. It is also a very good material choice for jointing expansion, weather stripping, glazing seals, and door closure seals.

What is EPDM Tape?

EPDM Tape is a multi purpose seal that is used as a compression seal in casement doors and windows.

In addition, due to the density of EPDM sponge, it is also used in a variety of shock absorption applications. R H Nuttall can supply EPDM foam strip in various densities including low, medium, and high depending on the intended application. In addition to this we also offer a high temperature grade of EPDM foam strip that takes intermittent temperatures of up to 128C for applications where heat is present.

A semi Open Cell EPDM foam is also readily available upon request.

EPDM strip/EPDM tape section

With the investment in our in house cutting facilities, we can accommodate runs of EPDM sponge strip from 4mm wide right up to 1000mm wide. Increments of 1mm between those parameters are perfectly able to be slit and therefore there is no need for compromise within a specified application. This means in effect that the exact section of EPDM foam strip is slit for your product requirements. Square and rectangular sections of any width and thickness are all manufactured.

RH Nuttall is leading stockist within the UK of all EPDM Sponge roll and sheet and therefore allows us to react to customer requirements immediately. Orders and production are often received and sent on the same day, even given that parts are manufactured to exact customer requirements.

Colours of EPDM sponge strip

EPDM strip and EPDM tape is supplied in a black and white colour. Other colours are available upon request, but dependent upon volume and thicknesses required.

EPDM rubber (solid) strip
