A relatively cheap base material, and even slightly cheaper than neoprene sponge, EPDM sponge is deemed a good choice for applications including weather strips, glazing seals, jointing expansion, anti-vibration and shock absorbers.

Our standard range of EPDM sponge gaskets are supplied as a medium density foam as standard. However, firm and soft density grades of EPDM sponge gaskets are also available depending on the application.
Firm grade EPDM sponge gaskets are supplied mainly when two heavy surfaces are clamping down onto the gaskets, but only little compression is required to seal. Whereas soft grade neoprene sponge gaskets can be manufactured where little compression is required to make a perfect seal.
Samples of our EPDM sponge gaskets can be made and sent off to you free of charge to test on your application prior to committing to a bulk order. Even if you have a custom shape or size, normally tooling is inexpensive and samples can be produced at extremely cost effective prices.
Bespoke EPDM sponge gaskets are manufactured by RH Nuttall at our UK based factory. If you have a certain application then we can accommodate tooling to suit. Whether it is a plain shape or a more intricate gasket with holes or slots then these can be produced too.
EPDM sponge gaskets also have many other advantages than just sealing. Our range of EPDM sponge gaskets can be tailored to meet specific temperatures or recoverability rates. High temperature EPDM sponge washers can be manufactured to meet temperatures in excess of 128 degrees centigrade.
EPDM sponge gaskets can be supplied with a self-adhesive backing to aid in third hand fixing if required. A peel away carrier can be applied to either one or both sides of the gasket depending on the application involved.
