RH Nuttall is a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality EPDM sponge gaskets. We can create EPDM sponge gaskets to virtually any specification, shape or size.

EPDM sponge gaskets can be made from a wide variety of quality grades and densities of EPDM sponge foam to suit your requirements and applications.

RH Nuttall is fast becoming the market leading in the mass production and supply of EPDM sponge gaskets to a variety of industries and trades across the globe.

EPDM is an acronym for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer and is a blown variant of its solid rubber state.

Through the process of injecting air into the cell structure, EPDM Sponge is perfect for strong levels of compression allowing it to be clamped down onto on more inhospitable sealing surfaces.

Closed cell EPDM sponge gaskets

EPDM sponge gaskets are currently supplied in a black colour and are available in virtually any thickness to suit your requirements.

When air is injected in to the closed cell structure, it naturally becomes a more flexible, more malleable material making itself ideal to a wide range of applications.

Closed cell EPDM sponge gaskets are naturally compressible therefore they’re perfect for creating a perfect seal between two surfaces.

Thicknesses of EPDM sponge gaskets available

Thicknesses of our EPDM sponge gaskets can be manufactured from 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm right up to 50mm in thickness.

Applications for EPDM sponge gaskets

EPDM sponge is a very universal base material product. It is widely recognised throughout the automotive, electronic, glazing and construction trades. A relatively cheap base material, and even slightly cheaper than neoprene sponge, EPDM sponge is deemed a good choice for applications including weather strips, glazing seals, jointing expansion, anti-vibration and shock absorbers.

Our range of EPDM sponge gaskets are also commonly used throughout the garden equipment industry, as well as solar panels and speaker liners.

EPDM sponge gaskets are used widely through the automotive trade too. Most window seals and boot/bonnet seals are made from EPDM gaskets. Internal door furniture of cars also has EPDM sponge gaskets within them, mainly as seals or noise absorbers to alleviate those annoying rattles.

Our standard range of EPDM sponge gaskets are supplied as a medium density foam as standard. However, firm and soft density grades of EPDM sponge gaskets are also available depending on the application.

Firm grade EPDM sponge gaskets are supplied mainly when two heavy surfaces are clamping down onto the gaskets, but only little compression is required to seal. Whereas soft grade neoprene sponge gaskets can be manufactured where little compression is required to make a perfect seal.

Free EPDM sponge gasket samples available

Samples of our EPDM sponge gaskets can be made and sent off to you free of charge to test on your application prior to committing to a bulk order. Even if you have a custom shape or size, normally tooling is inexpensive and samples can be produced at extremely cost effective prices.

Bespoke and custom EPDM sponge gaskets available

Bespoke EPDM sponge gaskets are manufactured by RH Nuttall at our UK based factory. If you have a certain application then we can accommodate tooling to suit. Whether it is a plain shape or a more intricate gasket with holes or slots then these can be produced too.

EPDM sponge gaskets with high temperate recovery rates

EPDM sponge gaskets also have many other advantages than just sealing. Our range of EPDM sponge gaskets can be tailored to meet specific temperatures or recoverability rates. High temperature EPDM sponge washers can be manufactured to meet temperatures in excess of 128 degrees centigrade.

Self Adhesive EPDM sponge gaskets available

EPDM sponge gaskets can be supplied with a self-adhesive backing to aid in third hand fixing if required. A peel away carrier can be applied to either one or both sides of the gasket depending on the application involved.
