While similar in function to manual machines, ATHP systems are enhanced with computer-aided precision settings, allowing for cuts within just millimeters of the previous stamped gasket. This advanced automation significantly increases cutting speed, making it ideal for high-volume gasket production. The result? These machines utilize relatively inexpensive tooling, making them highly cost-effective for large production runs. Additionally, tooling impressions can be increased, enabling multiple gaskets to be stamped simultaneously—lowering per-unit costs even further.
Gaskets are stamped using a variety of base materials, including rubber, sponge, foam, and cork. The process is supported by hydraulic air feeds that securely clamp the material onto a revolving cutting belt. Once setup is complete, the system automatically adjusts the cutting pitch to maximize yield and minimize waste. If required, gaskets can also be manufactured with self-adhesive backing before cutting.
