RH Nuttall Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of durable rubber snow plough blades and scrapers. Rubber cutting edges are supplied to any width and thickness to suit your exact requirements. What’s more, the rubber snow plough blades we produced can be tailored to have bolt holes or slots pre-cut to aid in fixing.

The rubber we select for the cutting edges is robust and durable, whilst simultaneously being malleable enough to mould to the undulations in the floor underneath.

Our snow plough rubber is an abrasion resistant material which can come with cotton inserted in layers across the cross section, to give it even greater tear resistance, if required. Able to withstand temperatures of -20°c/+70°c, the rubber we select will not perish under normal weathering conditions.

Acting as a semi-permanent scraper, our rubber snow plough blades can be easily removed, leaving the metal plough behind it in near perfect working order.

A cheap, reliable and tested method of removing snow build up, while simultaneously protecting expensive machinery parts.

Thicknesses of rubber snow plough blades:

Our extensive stock holding of raw material means that you don’t have to compromise on design. Bespoke cutting of all our rubber snow plough blades is done in-house, meaning you get a made to measure rubber component. Standard thicknesses we supply from include 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm. Most of these can come with or without a cotton insertion.

Available in lengths and widths to suit the application. Common lengths and widths are detailed below, but bespoke parts can be manufactured if not listed:

  • 1000mm x 50mm
  • 1000mm x 100mm
  • 1000mm x 150mm
  • 1000mm x 200mm
  • 1200mm x 50mm
  • 1200mm x 100mm
  • 1200mm x 150mm

Why use rubber snow plough protection blades:

Many surfaces that have snow lay upon them cannot be viewed until the snow is cleared. With that said, it’s vital to the durability of a metal plough to add a more malleable surface to bend and meander over the surface of the road, rather than have metal scrape against concrete. Unseen obstacles in the road include cats eyes, sleeping policemen, man hole covers, rumble strips and pot holes. Adding the rubber to the end/edge of the plough allows the metal to sit slightly above the surface, and the rubber to protrude just past, creating a cleaner and safer surface. In fact, this is also the working practice behind most rubber gaskets, providing a reliable, yet affordable option to protecting expensive metal parts from damage.

Sectors we supply rubber plough blades into:

Snow ploughs are often used purely to clear road surfaces, however they are also used extensively throughout a whole host of industrial sectors:

  • Local Authority/Council – Clearing snow from roads.
  • Schools – clearing snow from entrance ways and playgrounds.
  • Shopping centres – clearing snow from entrance ways and car parks.
  • Airports – clearing snow from runways, entrance ways and car parks.
  • Railways – ploughs are often fitted to the front of trains – snow removal from tracks.
  • Automotive – removal of snow from private tracks/roads.

In addition to snow plough blades we frequently get asked to manufacture both small and large volume requirements for the agriculture industry. Farm owners have vast amounts of expensive heavy plant and machinery, and our rubber edging strip gets used on items such as slurry clearance mops, tractor edge protectors and combine harvesters. Cut to bespoke sizes, holes and slots can be added to suit fitting.
