What is LDPE Sheet?

LDPE Sheets and LDPE Sheeting are made from Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) which is where it takes its name from. LDPE sheeting is usually opaque and comes in metre wide rolls or larger sheets. How is LDPE Made?

LDPE is created using a chemical process which puts gaseous ethylene under intense pressure. This pressure is combined with a temperature above 350 C and introduced to oxide indicators. The result is a polymer which is low cost, high yield, and is far easier to mould into shape than many other high density counterparts.

We have four thicknesses of LDPE sheeting. These thicknesses are as follows:

  • 2mm thicknesses of LDPE sheets are available in 2440 x 1220mm sizes
