Rubber Tape - RH Nuttall Ltd

Rubber Tape Manufacturer

We manufacture the rubber tape in house and sell across the industry. Lead times are quick and no job is too small or too large. In house machinery can be set up same day, next day in order to meet your urgency.

Colours

Can come a multitude of colours depending on the base compound chosen and available. Black, white and red are our most commonly manufactured.

Adhesive

Strips can come plain, but most find it helpful to have adhesive applied to the rear. Rubber tape can then simply be unwound and stuck in place to help in installation. Note, it is important to have a smooth and cleaned surface prior to applying.

Rubber tape adhesive choices

This can come in low tack, medium tack and high tack options depending on the application. Our rubber roll starts of plain and can have any of these options added. Water repellent tapes are also an option if water is present in the application. We also offer contact adhesive for a more robust and permanent fix.

Hardnesses of rubber tape

The rubber tape we offer can be supplied in relatively soft grades, to much more harder strips depending on the application. For example, if a seal was required via compressing two mating surfaces together then a softer grade might be suggested. However, if the application was a bumper with constant buffeting from moving parts, then a more resilient harder grade would be suggested. We can offer rubber tape from 50sh, 60sh, 70sh, and 80sh. Samples of base materials can be supplied prior to ordering to help identify which would be best suited to a specific application.

Thicknesses of rubber tape

Our rubber tape can come in thicknesses of 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm. This is depending on the grade and hardness required, but most of these thicknesses are stocked in master roll enabling a fast turnaround into cut rubber tape.

Preparation of rubber surface

All of our rubber is prepared with a wash primer prior to having the adhesive tape applied. This is crucial and acts as a barrier between the surface of the rubber and the adhesive. This maintains a consistent bond on the surface the rubber tape is being applied to.
