Today marks a landmark Birthday for Kay as he turns the grand age of 40!
For those of you who don’t know Mohammed Khalil (aka Kay), he is the fulcrum of our Company. His official job title is Works Manager, no mean feat in itself some might say, but his work ethic makes his job role so much more encompassing than that alone. Kay has been with us for fifteen years now starting as a labourer on the shopfloor, and slowly learning our family business inside out. Gaining that grounding from grass root level has been invaluable to his understanding of true family business ethics, and now something Kay firmly buys into.
His dedicated work attitude meant he was soon promoted, and now works six days a week pulling the whole Company together. It’s fair to say that without the efforts of Kay we wouldn’t be in the strong and stable position we are today. Kay is a true Company man, always offering his time, most of it in detriment to his outside life! We are trying our best to stop this, but dedication must be his middle name!! Amongst family members we often refer to him as part of our “family” and another “Nuttall” simply due to his outlook for the Company, and its significant importance to him.
A large proportion of the growth that RHN has had over the past fifteen years can be attributed to Kay alone. Many hours of implementing systems to aid in the streamlining of operations throughout the shopfloor, not to mention the blood, sweat and tears of the whole organisation of the old factory and then the overseeing of the new build three years ago. Throw in the sourcing and design/planning of the three units we have down the road and you can see how important he is to us. The list is endless to Kay’s talents, and he is very much respected by everyone here at RHN, none more so than by the Nuttall family who simply couldn’t function without him. A true modern day linchpin.
During the fifteen years Kay has been with us, we have managed to now finally pull the jigsaw together around him, employing a Production Controller and Team Leaders to take this sole burden off Kay’s shoulders so to speak, allowing him to utilise his talents in other key areas in the business, while simultaneously allowing him some much overdue holiday with his wife and four children.
As mentioned above, Kay is a highly thought of member of the team at RHN, and we would all just like to extend our warmest wishes for his 40th Birthday today. I know his family have a surprise lined up for him on Saturday which will be a lovely bonding time for them all.
Kay was also presented with a cake, and some tickets for a sporting event by one of the Directors of RHN, just to say thanks for all those years of hard work, for it certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed. Thanks Kay! We couldn’t do it without you.
I just wanted to add one final shout out here, as today is also a double celebration for the Khalil household, with his son Raheem gaining nine top GCSE grades and allowing him to move on to further education at his chosen establishment. It just goes to show that hard work, dedication, and brain power runs through their family!
Enjoy your Birthday Kay!! Respect.
