Silicone Strip

Silicone strips provide an excellent seal in numerous high temperature applications. Silicone strip can be provided as a silicone sponge strip or a solid silicone rubber strip. RH Nuttall Limited provide silicone strip in many different grades, all giving high temperature sealing solutions, but aimed at slightly different markets. Silicone Strip
Possessing a unique chemical structure it is able to withstand and function in almost any thermal or chemical environment up to +250c. As silicone is largely an inert compound, coupled with its thermal stability it enables silicone strip to be produced for a multitude of uses. Furthermore, due to our silicone strip products having excellent resistance to oxygen as well as ozone and sunlight they are becoming increasingly used in the construction industry for applications including fire stops, glazing seals and general external gaskets and trims.
Flame Retardant/Low Smoke/Low Toxic Silicone Strip/UL94 V-0/London Underground/LSOH
Flame retardant low smoke/low toxic silicone sponge strips are readily available and are predominantly supplied to the London Underground where the risk of fire spreading must be prohibited. Conforming to gas, smoke as well as fire safety standards, this particular silicone is self extinguishing and won’t give off harmful gases when ignited. With temperature ranges of -60c to +250c, and fully conforming to UL94 V-0 regulations where public safety is of paramount importance, this bespoke silicone can be manufactured into silicone strip products to provide high temperature sealing solutions for numerous applications.

Foam rubber strip is an ideal material for sealing between joints where a compression is required to aid in preventing moisture or airflow from penetrating. As a rule of thumb, our foam strip will compress about 30 percent from its original state, however this is determined by a large number of factors including force applied, surface area, density of foam and grade of foam chosen. A full range of expanding foam tape is also readily available. Common runs include neoprene sponge strip, neoprene foam strip, EPDM sponge strip, EPDM foam strip, and PE foam strip.
