Sponge Gaskets

RH Nuttall Limited manufacture and supply sponge gaskets and sponge pads to any given specification. Sponge gaskets differ from solid rubber in that it is a blown variant of solid rubber making it a lighter and a more compressible material.

There are many different types of sponge available including both open cell sponge gaskets as well as closed cell sponge gaskets.

More common sponge gaskets are manufactured in either neoprene sponge or EPDM sponge which are both closed cell materials and excellent solutions to sealing against water and air. Common runs include all neoprene sponge gaskets, EPDM sponge gaskets and polyethylene foam gaskets.

Self adhesive backing can be applied to most sponge gaskets we supply. Adhesive foam gaskets can aid in third hand fixing in various applications.

Sponge gaskets can also be supplied in a ‘kiss cut’ format to aid in dispensing on many assembly lines. For further information on this please contact a member of our sales team.

Sponge gaskets (neoprene sponge, EPDM sponge) can come in numerous colours and thicknesses depending on the base material foam required. Common thicknesses range from 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm right up to 25mm. Standard colours include black and white sponge gaskets, however polyethylene foam gaskets can be supplied in a range of colours depeding on quantity required.
