A gasket is a mechanical seal that fills a space between two objects, generally to prevent leakages whilst under compression. Gaskets can be made from a variety of materials including PTFE gaskets, viton gaskets, Klingersil gaskets, Novus gaskets, silicone gaskets, FEP gaskets, cork gaskets, nylon gaskets, foam gaskets, rubber gaskets, neoprene gaskets, EPDM gaskets, nitrile gaskets, silicone sponge gaskets, vulcanised fibre gaskets, or ceramic paper gaskets to name just a few. RH Nuttall Limited can produce gaskets in a limitless number of shapes and sizes from simple rounds or squares to complicated profiles with many slits, slots, cut-outs and holes to allow for assembly over studs and pins. Creases or perforations can also be added to create a flat 'net' for folding into a three-dimensional shape.

Many of the materials we use can be laminated, self adhesive backed, aluminium foil encapsulated or dust suppressed giving the customer exactly what they want. Gaskets can even be stained or embossed for aesthetic or identification purposes.

RH Nuttall Limited offers gaskets that are manufactured in a vast array of different materials. Thicknesses vary from 0.005" to 60mm, whilst gasket sizes can be anything up to two metres in one homogeneous piece. Supplying numerous different industrial sectors, our gasket range is extensive from one off fabricated handcut gaskets to multi thousand runs for the plumbing and automotive industries. Rest assured that whether it is a nitrile gasket you need to seal against oil, a neoprene gasket for a construction project or a fibre gasket or sponge gasket for sealing in window applications, we can accommodate almost any design.

Gasket applications that require a material with certain characteristics such as a high temperature function, waterproof sealing properties, jointing needs or heavy impact resilience are all readily available.

Certain gaskets, depending on the base material, can be provided as ‘kiss-cut’ parts. These adhesive backed gaskets are produced on a roll of release paper with the external scrap removed, leaving the gasket to be easily peeled away with the adhesive backing still attached to the gasket. As removing the paper from adhesive backed parts can cause problems on the assembly line, ask us today to kiss-cut your parts instead. The action of separating the part from its backing is several times faster than the conventional method.
